FM Taye, Azerbaijani envoy discuss bilateral ties and COP29 Summit

Addis Ababa, May 11, 2024 (FBC) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia Ambassador Taye Atske-Sellasie held a discussion at his office on Friday afternoon with the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Ethiopia Rsulan Nasibov.

In post on his X page, the Foreign Minister confirmed that his discussion with the Aerbaijani envoy focused on strengthening the existing bilateral cooperation.

Both officials also exchanged views on the upcoming COP29 summit which will be held later this year in Baku. Note that the 2024 United Nations Climate Change Conference or Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC, more commonly known as COP29, will be the 29th United Nations Climate Change conference. COP29 will be held in Baku, Azerbaijan.

“We expressed our hope that the COP29 Summit will put plans to implementation, and an occasion where countries that took meaningful steps to climate action will be recognized and supported in their efforts to address climate crisis, FM Taye said.
