FM Gedion holds talks with AUC chairperson Moussa Faki Mahamat
Addis Ababa, November 5, 2024 (FBC) — Ethiopia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gedion Timothewos, held a discussion with the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Moussa Faki Mahamat, later today.
The two sides exchanged views on common issues, particularly the ties between Ethiopia and the African Union, as well as on regional and continental matters, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA Ethiopia).
On the occasion, Foreign Minister Gedion reaffirmed Ethiopia’s historical commitment to strengthening the African Union.
He also expressed appreciation and gratitude for the Chairperson’s contributions to the strengthening of the Union.
Moussa Faki, on his part, expressed his delight at the Minister’s appointment and conveyed his hope that, during his term, the Union would become even stronger. He also wished him a productive time in his role.
