Federal Police chief, UN representative discuss peacekeeping, capacity building
Addis Ababa, February 5, 2024 (FBC) – The Chief Commissioner of the Ethiopian Federal Police, General Demlash Gebre-Michael, engaged in a deliberation with the United Nations Under-Secretary-General and Resident & Humanitarian Coordinator in Ethiopia, Dr. Ramiz Alakbarov.
During the discourse, both parties conferred on matters conducive to collaborative efforts in their respective avenues.
Notably, consensus was reached to collaborate in the deployment of United Nations peacekeeping forces, endeavors related to capacity building, and various security initiatives.
Expressing gratitude, Dr. Ramiz Alakbarov conveyed appreciation to the Ethiopian Federal Police for its adept assistance rendered to United Nations agencies in their undertakings within Ethiopia.
Additionally, he underscored Ethiopia’s standing as one of the founding member nations of the United Nations.
