Expo depicts Ethiopia’s success in multilateral diplomacy, int’l engagements
Addis Ababa, January 15, 2024 (FBC) – Ethiopia has been able to effectively depict its key multilateral diplomacy and international engagements at the ongoing exhibition, which was made public last week as part of its “Diplomacy Week,” Foreign Affairs Spokesperson, Ambassador Meles Alem remarked.
The exhibition was inaugurated last week at the Science Museum in Addis Ababa under the theme “From an African Hub to the World.”
It aims to inspire Ethiopians to discover more about their country’s diplomatic history by highlighting the 116-year diplomatic history and contemporary diplomatic accomplishments.
The spokesperson said that the exhibition has been helping to demonstrate Ethiopia’s role in multilateral diplomacy and international stages.
It is also to fostering a sense of national patriotism among citizens by giving everyone the opportunity to serve as an ambassador for their nation, ambassador Meles added.
The exhibition has attained its intended goals, the Spokesperson said stressing the need to intensify Ethiopia’s diplomacy by employing contemporary mechanisms including digital diplomacy.
He also announced plan to organize similar grand events annually with a view to encourage all citizens freely engage in the diplomatic affairs of the country, as per ENA.
