Expansion of 4G LTE Advanced Service accelerating socio-economic reforms: Ethio Telecom
Addis Ababa, June 15, 2021 (FBC) – Speaking at the launching of 4G LTE service in the South West Region, CEO of Ethio Telecom Frehiwot Tamru said expansion of the service is accelerating the socio-economic reform in the country.
The advanced serive is enabling citizens to use internet service as promptly as possible to swiftly running socio-economic activities and supporting the ease of doing business, CEO noted.
Ethio Telecom has recently launched 4G LTE Advanced Service Jimma, Agaro,Beddele,Bonga, Koisha, Mettu, Mizan and Teppi towns yesterday.
On the ocassin, Firehiwot said the world has now been advancing towards full and efficient digital technology utilization, and our Ethiopia is also in a position to effectively utilize the digital advancement, she said.
According to EPA, Frehiwot reiterated that the company has been endeavoring to expand the service to all parts of the country. Firehiwot elaborated that the system would help citizens use high definition (HD) applications as the expansion of the project has been a multipurpose function.
