EU donates vaccine producing machine to Ethiopia

Addis Ababa, January 21, 2021 (FBC) –The European Union has donated vaccine filling and libelling machine worth over €800,000 to the National Veterinary Institute of Ethiopia.

State Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Fikru Regassa, Ambassador of the European Union to Ethiopia, Johan Borgstam and FAO Representative to Ethiopia, Fatouma Seid attended the handover ceremony.

The donation by EU would assist Ethiopia’s efforts to eradicate goat and sheep disease by 2027, it was noted. Ethiopia currently produces 22 types of vaccines.
