Ethiopia’s ties with African nations defined by fraternity and cooperation: MFA Chief of Protocol
Addis Ababa, January 13, 2023 (FBC) – Ambassadors of the Republic of Guinea, the Republic of Zimbabwe, and the Republic of Guinea-Bissau to Ethiopia, Ambassador Mamedy Fofana, Ambassador Ms. Rose K. Sakala, and Ambassador Maria Antonieta Pinto Lopes D’Alva, respectively, presented copies of their letters of credentials to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Chief of Protocol, Ambassador Demeke Atnafu.
Amb. Demeke welcomed the newly appointed ambassadors to Ethiopia and stated that Ethiopia’s longstanding relationship with the Republic of Guinea, the Republic of Zimbabwe, and the Republic of Guinea-Bissau has been defined by brotherhood and cooperation.
He explained that Ethiopia has strong political relations with all three countries, and this should be taken as a basis for strengthening relations in tourism, culture, education, the economy, and various other sectors, according to MFA Ethiopia.
Ambassador Demeke also briefed the ambassadors about the Pretoria Peace Agreement, the GERD negotiations, and reiterated Ethiopia’s commitment to solve problems guided by the maxim of “African solutions for African problems.”
