Ethiopia’s job creation, market linkages promising – World Bank President

Addis Ababa, August 1, 2023 (FBC) – The World Bank President Ajay Banga stated that Ethiopia’s achievements in job creation and market linkage is promising.

The World Bank President told the media after visiting one of the huge investment centers in Ethiopia, the Bole Lemi Industrial Park, together with Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed.

“ The change in the manufacturing sector that Ethiopia is achieving in terms of job creation and market linkages in the places where industrial parks are located is promising” World Bank President Ajay Banga said.

It is to be recall that Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and World Bank President Ajay Banga visited two industries located within Bole Lemi Industry Park engaged in the production of apparel and malt respectively.

Alongside the tour, they also planted tree seedlings as part of Ethiopia’s ongoing Green Legacy initiative.
