Ethiopia’s House Speaker visits Djibouti
Addis Ababa, February 3, 2020 (FBC) – Speaker of the House of Peoples Representatives (HPR) of Ethiopia, Tagesse Chafo, has paid an official working visit to Djibouti.
The Speaker and his delegation held the visit following the invitation of President of the National Assembly of Djibouti, Mohamed Ali Houmed, according to the Ethiopian Embassy in Djibouti.
During his visit, the Speaker addressed the National Assembly on the occasion of 8th annual ordinary session of the Assembly.
While addressing the Assembly, Tagesse stated the exemplary firm political, economic and social relationship of the two fraternal countries.
He also assured the commitment of the Ethiopian government to nurture the existing relationship in the future.
He pointed out the need to further strengthen the collaboration of the HPR and the National Assembly to ensure a mutual benefit for the two sisterly countries.
The Ethiopian delegation also visited the ports operation.
According to the Embassy, fertilizer transportation to Ethiopia, among others, is well underway for the coming production season.
