Ethiopian Consulate inaugurated in Genoa, Italy
Addis Ababa, May 29, 2023 (FBC) – The Ethiopian Embassy in Italy announced the opening of its Honorary Consulate in Genoa, Italy.
The inaugural event was attended by more than 150 invited senior officials, university presidents, Genoa city administration leadership, as well as investors and various members of society.
During the event, Ethiopia’s Ambassador to Italy, Demitu Hambisa, and Ethiopia’s Honorary Consul in Italy Mr. Gianpiero Succhi led a panel discussion.
The Ethiopian Embassy in Rome mentioned that Ambassador Demitu highlighted the current state of affairs in Ethiopia. An extensive discussion was held on the investment opportunities in Ethiopia.
Ambassador Giuseppe Mistretta, the head of African Affairs at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, was the guest of honor, it was indicated.
At the panel discussion, companies engaged in logistics and renewable energy sector in Ethiopia gave their testimony about reliable safety and wide market opportunities.
