Ethiopian Youth delegation to Russia visits Ulyanovsk State Pedagogical University
Addis Ababa, July 25, 2024 (FBC) – The Ethiopian Youth delegation led by the President of the Ethiopian Youth Council, Fuad Gena, which is participating in BRICS Youth Summit in Ulyanovsk, has visited Ulyanovsk State Pedagogical University.
The delegation toured Technopark of Universal Pedagogical Competencies named after A.V. Strauss, created within the framework of the project “Teacher of the Future Generation of Russia”.
They saw the Kafa language classroom, opened in March 2024 in the building of the Faculty of Foreign Languages as part of the cooperation of the Ulyanovsk State Pedagogical University with Bonga University.
Officials of the university told the delegation that the higher educational institution is working in collaboration with Ethiopian counterparts in the fields of agriculture, science and education.
Students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages of Ulyanovsk State Pedagogical University briefed the delegation on Russian prominent figures who contributed to strengthening its historical relations with Ethiopia including public statesman and botanist Nikolai Vavilov and military officer and explorer Alexander Bulatovich.
In addition, the activities of the UNESCO Department “Titular languages in the intercultural educational space” were presented.
