Ethiopian Nat’l Dialogue Commission to commence agenda gathering in Harari region
Addis Ababa, August 9, 2024 (FBC) – The Ethiopian National Dialogue Commission announced that it will start agenda gathering consultations next Saturday in Harari region.
In his media briefing today, National Dialogue Commission Commissioner Ambassador Mahmoud Derir said the selection of participants had been held in all districts of the region previously by involving all members of the communities.
These representatives will conduct consultations to identify agenda items that they think are important to be discussed during the dialogue process at national level.
The agenda gathering consultation in Harari region will be held for six consecutive days starting from August 10, 2024, ambassador Mahmoud said.
Over 1,000 representatives drawn from all segments of the society including political parties operating in the region, religious institutions, civic organizations, government bodies and prominent personalities will participate at the consultation.
This part of the dialogue process, as mentioned by ENA, is an important phase in which pertinent bodies of the region discuss on the most important national issues to reach national Consensus.
