Ethiopian high level delegation arrives in Juba to attend LAPSSET project meeting

Addis Ababa, May 17, 2023 (FBC) – An Ethiopian high level delegation of senior government officials has arrived in Juba, South Sudan to attend a meeting on the Lamu Port – South Sudan – Ethiopia Transport Corridor (LAPSSET) Project.

Ethiopian Ambassador to South Sudan Nabil Mahadi welcomed the delegation at Juba International Airport.

The Ethiopian government delegation will be attending a discussion on the LAPSSET project which is underway with a view to link Ethiopia, Kenya and South Sudan through transport infrastructure.

The delegation will also hold meetings with government officials of South Sudan on bilateral issues of mutual concern.

The LAPSSET Project was launched in 2012 by a joint agreement between the leaders of Ethiopia, Kenya and South Sudan.
