Ethiopian Federal Police, UK National Crime Agency reach cooperation agreement
Addis Ababa, December 2, 2023 (FBC) – The Ethiopian Federal Police and the UK National Crime Agency have reached cooperation agreement on prevention of cross-border crimes.
A delegation of Ethiopian Federal Police led by Commissioner General Demelash Gebremichael paid a working visit to the UK.
During the visit, Commissioner General of the Ethiopian Federal Police, Demelash Gebremichael, held discussion with officials of the UK National Criminal Agency on bilateral issues particularly on ways of enhancing cooperation on prevention of cross-border crimes.
Commissioner General Demelash told the UK Police officials that Ethiopia has registered remarkable results in crime prevention after building technological capacities in this sphere.
Director of the UK National Criminal Agency, David Hucker, expressed interest to provide the Red Fox Center in Addis Ababa with capacity building training and technologies.
He also vowed to facilitate scholarships for Ethiopian police officers in the UK College of Policing.
The Ethiopian delegation visited various police facilities and technologies in the UK.
