Ethiopian export trade permanent exhibition center opens, trade week kicks off
Addis Ababa, August 25, 2024 (FBC) – A new Ethiopian Export Trade Permanent Exhibition Center was officially inaugurated today along with the start of a five-day trade week aimed at promoting the country’s products and services.
High-level government officials, including head of the Democratic System Building Coordination Center with the rank of Deputy Prime Minister, Adem Farah, House of Federation Speaker Agegnehu Teshager, and Finance Minister Ahmed Shide, attended the opening ceremony held in the premises of Ministry of Trade and Regional Integration today.
During the event, officials toured the newly established permanent exhibition center and the exhibited products and services.
The 730 square meter permanent export trade exhibition center is intended to showcase all kinds of export products of Ethiopia. Promoting Ethiopia’s export goods on the global market is the center’s main goal.
The trade week officially opened today is expected to provide a platform for both domestic and international buyers to explore business opportunities and strengthen trade relations, it was learned.
On the margins of the trade fair, stakeholders will participate in panel discussions to exchange views on the sector, it was learned.
Awards ceremonies to recognize and honor members of the business community with outstanding performance are also part of the trade fair, per ENA.
