Ethiopian Expands Operations with Night Flights to Accra
Addis Ababa February 13, 2023 (FBC) – Ethiopian Airlines (ET) is set to launch night flights to Accra, Ghana starting on March 26, 2023.
According to Airspace Africa the move to add four additional flights to its existing seven flights per week is aimed at providing more connectivity options for travelers in Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and Europe.
The new flights, which will depart from Accra in the evening, will allow passengers to connect to the airline’s vast network in Africa and to destinations in the Middle East, and Asia, airspace Africa added.
The CEO of Ethiopian Airlines, Mesfin Tasew Bekele, spoke about the new flights in a media statement, saying, “We have extensive operations in Africa and we want to connect Ghanaians to African destinations.”
In addition to its main hub in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, it is pursuing its multi-hub strategy through a hub in Lomé, Togo with ASKY, in Lilongwe, Malawi with Malawi Airlines and in Lusaka, Zambia with Zambia Airways.
Ethiopian commands the lion’s share of the Pan African passenger and cargo network operating the youngest and most modern fleet to more than 145 domestic and international passenger and cargo destinations across five continents.
