Ethiopian, Eritrean leaders visit Ethio-Engineering Group, Air Force
Addis Ababa, October 14, 2020 (FBC) –Prime Minister Dr Abiy Ahmed and the Eritrean President Isaias Afwerki this afternoon visited the recently restructured Ethio-Engineering Group.
Located in the town of Bishoftu, Oromia regional state, the company currently produces vehicles for the defense forces as well as for commercial use.
Later, the two leaders also visited the Ethiopian Air Force.
After the visit, the Prime Minister tweeted “Ethiopian Air Force is a national pride protecting our airspace and closely working with our ground forces in various scenarios, including national emergencies and natural disasters.”
“My visit today confirmed their demonstrable technological capability and readiness,” he added.
Earlier today, PM Dr Abiy and President Isaias toured the recently inaugurated Entoto Natural Park, which is located north of the capital Addis Ababa.
The Eritrean President, who arrived in Addis Ababa last Monday, also visited yesterday the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) along with the Ethiopian Prime Minister.
On Monday, the two leaders visited the Jimma University, Gibe-III hydropower plant and coffee seedlings site in Goma woreda in Jimma zone.
