Ethiopian, Djibouti Police discuss ways to combat cross-border crimes
Addis Ababa, January 28, 2021 (FBC) –The Ethiopian Federal Police Commission and Djibouti National Police have discussed ways to combat cross-border and organized crimes.
Federal Police Commissioner General, Demelash Gebremichael, received director of the Djiboutian National Police, Colonel Abdillahi Abdi Farah, at his office today.
The two sides discussed ways to carry out combined operation by establishing joint security task force to combat human trafficking, money laundering, illegal movement of firearms, terrorism and other cross-border crimes.
The two sides agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) and open offices to make the cooperation between police officers of the two countries a success.
Police officers from both countries also conducted an experience sharing event by visiting the federal police’s sniffer dogs camp located at around Entoto in Addis Ababa.
