Ethiopian delegation visits Jeju Special Self-Governing Province of Korea Republic

Addis Ababa, November 20, 2023 (FBC) – An Ethiopian delegation led by the Minister of Irrigation and Lowlands, Aysha Mohammed, has paid a visit to regional office of the Republic of Korea Rural Community Corporation in Jeju Special Self-Governing Province.

The delegation was accorded warm welcome by Dong Cheol, Director General of the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province.

The delegation also toured Soyang Dam project site where the Jeju Self-Governing officials briefed the Ethiopian officials on the capacity of the dam.

Officials of the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province also shared experiences in irrigation projects being carried out using the Soyang dam water with the Ethiopian delegation.

Soyang dam, built at a cost of 62.2 billion Republic of Korean Won has a capacity of irrigating 400 ha of land.
