Ethiopian delegation attending Future Aviation Forum in Riyadh
Addis Ababa, May 21, 2024 (FBC) – Ethiopian delegation headed by Minister of Transport and Logistics, Alemu Simie, is attending the 3rd edition of the Future Aviation Forum in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The three-day forum, being held from May 20 to 22, brought together 30 ministers and over 5,000 leaders and experts in the global civil aviation industry from 120 countries.
Organized by the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), the event will highlight the participation of 77 heads of civil aviation authorities, airline and airport presidents, CEOs of aircraft manufacturing companies, and worldwide prominent investors.
Themed “Enhancing the Level of Global Connectivity”, the third edition of the forum reportedly presents a valuable opportunity for global aviation leaders to unlock new avenues aiming at enhancing the aviation industry sector.
Minister Alemu is expected to hold bilateral discussions with various parties on the sidelines of the forum in Riyadh.
The Future Aviation Forum (FAF 2024) witnessed the announcement of 47 agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoUs) worth $19 billion on the first day of the forum.
According to the Saudi Press Agency, the agreements cover national air service, aircraft orders, cargo and logistics, advanced air mobility, human capability, information technology, maintenance, repair and overhaul.
