Ethiopian delegation attends Expo 2023 Doha
Addis Ababa, October 3, 2023 (FBC) – Ethiopian delegation is participating in the 2023 International Horticultural Exposition (Expo 2023 Doha) in Doha’s Bida Park.
Being held under the theme “Green Desert, Better Environment”, the Doha International Horticultural Expo 2023 is being hosted by the State of Qatar from 2 October 2023 to 28 March 2024 (for 179 days). The theme has been founded to inspire the international community to explore and adopt innovative desertification mitigation solutions.
Inaugurated by the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Expo 2023 Doha aims to promote sustainable innovations and combat desertification. It will inspire visitors to participate in the transformation within four main topics: Modern Agriculture, Technology and Innovation, Environmental Awareness, Sustainability.
The biennial Doha International Horticultural Expo further aims at promoting and developing the horticulture sector.
About 80 countries, including private companies, non-governmental organizations and international experts are participating in the 179-day expo.
Ethiopian delegation led by Minister of State for Agriculture and Horticulture Meles Mekonen, Ethiopian Ambassador to the State of Qatar Faisal Ali and other government officials attended the opening ceremony.
