Ethiopian delegation arrives in Djibouti for three-day official visit
Addis Ababa, January 15, 2021 (FBC) – An Ethiopian delegation led by the Minister of Agriculture, Oumer Hussein, arrived in Djibouti tonight for a three days official visit.
The Minister is expected to hold discussions with his Djiboutian counterpart as well as authorities from Djibouti Ports.
As the government of Ethiopia plans to import a much higher volume of fertilizers than the previous years and ensure their timely delivery to farmers, issues such as the need to futher hone joint endeavours to fast track the bulk cargo operation will be tabled to discussion.
In a bid to lessen the some of the challenges Ethiopia is facing in ensuring the safe, timely delivery as well as direct export system of live animals to their destinations, particularly to the Middle East, a modern resting area is built at the Dorale Multipurpose Port.
Subsequently, the Minister will make an opening remark at the inauguration ceremony as well, according to the Ethiopian Embassy in Djibouti.
