Ethiopian Defence Forces achieve decisive victories in eastern, western Tigray fronts

Addis Ababa, November 17, 2020 (FBC) – The Ethiopian Defence Forces have achieved decisive victories in the eastern and western Tigray fronts, said the Ethiopian State of Emergency Fact Checking.

In a statement issued today, it said the defence forces fully liberated Raya in the eastern front, including Chercher and Gugufto Mehoni areas.

The defence army destroyed key concrete trenches built by TPLF and is currently advancing to the city of Mekelle.

In the western front, the defence forces seized Shire town after destroying difficult trenches located in Adi Nebrid and Adi Daero and is now heading to Axum town, it said.

In addition to recovering several weapons, the defence force arrested members of the Tigray Special Forces, the statement indicated.

The Ethiopia defence forces are advancing forward to arrest the TPLF Junta while the Junta force is retreating as it becomes powerless to resist the pressure for the defence forces, it said.
