Ethiopian Customs Commissioner receives Best Customs Commissioner Award

Addis Ababa, July 12, 2023 (FBC) – Commissioner of the Ethiopian Customs Commission, Debele Kabeta,  has received “The Best Customs Commissioner Award” at the 8th African Leadership Magazine Africa Summit 2023 held in London.

It is stated that the award is given in recognition of the efforts taken by Commissioner Debele to reform the Ethiopian Customs Commission.

Commissioner Debele is recognized as the “Best Commissioner of the African Customs Commission” in the international special award organized by the Organization of the Best African Government Service Institutions Award.

During his recognition ceremony held prior to his award commissioner Debele said “The recognition and award given to us at the continental level is the result of the efforts and cumulative results of the leaders and employees of the Ethiopian customs commission at all levels”.

The successes were not achieved by wishful thinking but by hard work, he added.

“The awards that are being given to us at the national and international level are an indication that the Ethiopian Customs Commission is on the path of change,” commissioner Debele stated.

Apart from recognition and awards, efforts will be made to make the Ethiopian Customs Commission a strong public institution that all Ethiopians can be proud of and trust, he said.

The African Leadership magazine is published by African Leadership (UK) Limited, a company registered in the United Kingdom.
