Ethiopian Coffee Training Center begins training for Mozambican experts
Addis Ababa, April 15, 2024 (FBC) – The Ethiopia Coffee Training Center has started offering comprehensive training to Mozambican experts.
The experts have so far obtained barista skills in the center and the current training program aims to equip the Mozambican trainees with skills of coffee roasting and tasting.
In his remarks at the opening of the training, Coordinator of the EU Coffee Project, Fikru Amenu, stated that Ethiopia embarked on institutional coffee management activities in 1950s and this enriched the nation with accumulated experiences in the sector.
The coordinator vowed to share Ethiopia’s immense experiences in diverse skills of the coffee industry with the Mozambican trainees.
The center is working to contribute to job creation and capacity building in in the coffee industry at the national as well as the regional level, the coordinator added.
Since its inception in 2021, the Ethiopian Coffee Training Center has produced hundreds of professionals in coffee roasting, tasting and barista skills.
