Ethiopian Catholic Church celebrates Timket festival 

Addis Ababa, January 20, 2023 (FBC) – Faithful of the Ethiopian Catholic Church have celebrated the Timket festival honoring the Baptism of Jesus Christ at various churches in the capital Addis Ababa and other parts of the countries.

At Saint Lideta Cathedral of the Ethiopian Catholic Church in Addis Ababa, Timket is being celebrated with holiday mass, prayers and songs.

Religious leaders called on the faithful to observe the holiday with compliments to God and prayers taking into consideration that the Baptism of Jesus Christ brings salvation and the light of the Holy Ghost.
