Ethiopian amb holds discussion with US business representatives
Addis Ababa, January 25, 2021 (FBC) – Ambassador of Ethiopia to the United States Fitsum Arega has held discussion with about 40 U.S. Business representatives.
During the virtual discussion hosted by the U.S. Business Council for International Understanding (BCIU), ambassador Fitsum briefed the participants on the investment opportunities available in Ethiopia for U.S. businesses.
He further told the participant about Ethiopia’s enabling environment for the private sector by the ongoing economic reform programs.
The ambassador highlighted the priority areas of Ethiopia’s 10 Year National Perspective Plan recently adopted by the Council of Ministers.
He also addressed the impact of COVID-19 and the various challenges that Ethiopia faced in the past year and the measures taken by the government to overcome these challenges.
At the end, the ambassador and participants agreed to further strengthen their engagement with BCIU and the companies.
