Ethiopian Airlines resumes regular flights to Shire town

Addis Ababa, January 2, 2023 (FBC) – Ethiopian Airlines announced that it has resumed its regular flights to Shire town today following the promising implementation of the peace agreement.

It is to be remembered that the airline resumed its regular flights from Addis Ababa to Mekele on December 30, 2022.

The travellers who boarded the first flight today and started their journey to Shire to meet their families said they were delighted with the resumption of air transport.

They underscored that it was the Pretoria Peace Agreement that made this a reality. They urged all concerned parties and all Ethiopians to play their part in the implementation of lasting peace in the country.

The passengers added that they have all witnessed that war only results in destruction, further urging everyone for unwavering and concerted efforts to implement lasting peace.
