Ethiopian Airlines earns $6.1bn in current fiscal year
Addis Ababa, June 15, 2023 (FBC) – Ethiopian Airlines announced that it has earned US$6.1 billion in the current fiscal year.
Chief Executive Office of Ethiopian, Mesfin Tasew, said that the national carrier transported 13.7 million passengers in the current fiscal year.
Apart from resuming flights to destinations that were canceled during the covid-19 global pandemic Ethiopian Airlines also resumed flights to seven other new destinations.
Twelve new passenger planes were also put into operation as part of the work done to increase the number of aircraft.
Furthermore, the CEO stated that two planes that were converted from passenger to cargo planes using the maintenance and engineering center of the airline have started cargo service operations in the reported period as per state media.
