Ethiopian Airlines becomes technical partner, core investor in Nigeria Air
Addis Ababa, September 16, 2022 (FBC) – Ethiopian Airlines becomes technical partner and core investor of Nigeria Air, as it has been selected by the Nigerian government, further boosting the robust relationship between the airline and Nigeria’s Aviation.
Ethiopian Airlines, which is unarguably the best-managed airline in Africa and the most profitable, has invaluable experience in similar partnerships, including its partnership with Asky, Zambia, Malawi, Chad, Democratic Republic of Congo, Mozambique Ethiopian and others, which are its subsidiary.
According to allAfrica.com, a team of Nigeria’s Ministry of Aviation has arrived at Addis Ababa to discuss with the Ethiopian.
A report by THISDAY indicates that Ethiopian Airlines is delivering training to personnel from Nigeria at the Airline’s facility in Addis Ababa.
The report confirmed that Ethiopian Airlines will provide the technical management personnel.
“Ethiopian Airlines has the equipment needed for the start-up of the new national carrier. It has many Bombardier Dash 8 aircraft, which would be the equipment that would be deployed with additional deployment of few Boeing B737 NG aircraft. The airline is most prepared to support the Nigerian government realize its national carrier ambition,” said a source from Ethiopian, as quoted by THISDAY.
