Ethiopia working to expand scopes of export items to Azerbaijan – Minister
Addis Ababa, October 11, 2024 (FBC) – Ethiopia is actively working to expand the scopes of export items to Azerbaijan by unleashing all export potentials, the Minister of Trade and Regional Integration, Kassahun Gofe has stated.
The Minister disclosed this intention on his social media page after his discussion with the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Ethiopia, Mr. Ruslan Nasibov.
The Minister noted that their discussion covered issues pertaining to promoting bilateral relationship between the two sister countries. The main agenda of discussion was on how to strengthen cooperation in the areas of trade and investment.
Kassahun revealed that he strongly emphasized Ethiopia’s utmost priority is boosting diversified export promotion by expanding destinations for all kinds of its products.
“Azerbaijan is one of our export product destinations especially for pulses,” the Minister underscored, highlighting his country’s efforts to expand the scopes of export items to Azerbaijan by unleashing all export potentials.
This joint engagement further promotes trade and investment relations between the two countries which enables win-win development approach, he said.
For his part, Ambassador Ruslan Nasibov appreciated Ethiopia’s commitment and dedication to modernize trade, undertaking policy reforms to open trade and investment landscape for foreign investors.
He also briefed the Minister about Azerbaijan business and investment delegation team will pay a visit to Ethiopian soon.
