Ethiopia working to accelerate regional integration drive through power supply: EEP

Addis Ababa, October 14, 2022 (FBC) – Ethiopian Electric Power is working hard towards scaling up its energy production capacty and expanding access to accelerate regional integration drive through power supply, CEO Ashebir Balcha stated.

While opening a forum of energy sectors leaders and experts drawn from several east african countries, Ashebir said that Ethiopia has been working to increase its access to electricity.

Ethiopia is ramping up its electrification program to works to ensure full access to natioinwide by 2033.

Ethiopia has been exporting energy to Djibouti and Sudan as it is intesifying preparations to start supply to Kenya, according to the CEO.
