Ethiopia welcomes ambassador-designates from Israel, the Netherlands

Addis Ababa, August 27, 2024 (FBC) – Ambassador-designate Avraham Neguise of Israel and Marie Christine Theodore Pirenne, ambassador designate of the Netherlands to Ethiopia, presented their credentials to Mr. Melaku Bedada, Director General of Protocol Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, as announced by the Ministry today.

Dr. Avraham Neguise, the newly appointed Ambassador-designate of Israel to Ethiopia, succeeds Ambassador Alelign Admassu, who served in the position from 2021 to 2024.

Meanwhile, the newly assigned Dutch Ambassador-designate replaces her predecessor, Ambassador Henk Jan Bakker, who held the position of Ambassador of the Netherlands to Ethiopia from September 2020 to June 2024.
