Ethiopia unveils first-ever pastoral policy and strategy
Addis Ababa, May 8, 2021 (FBC) – The government of Ethiopia unveiled the first-ever pastoral policy and detailed strategy document with a view to enhance livelihood of pastoralists.
The policy and its strategy that have been developed by the Ministry of Peace is said instrumental to further socio economic endeavors in pastoral and semi-pastoral places there by transform livelihoods of communities in the target areas.
Chairperson of Pastoral Affairs Standing Committee in the House of Peoples Representatives, Almaz Melesse and State Minister of the Ministry of Peace, Dr. Seyoum Mesfin along with other high ranking government officials have attended the inaugural ceremony.
