Ethiopia, UAE agree to foster strong investment ties

Addis Ababa, January 30, 2023 (FBC) – Ethiopia and the United Arab Emirates agreed to foster strong investment cooperation through multifaceted activities, according to the Ethiopian Investment Commission (EIC).

EIC Commissioner, Lelise Neme, held discussion today with Mohammed Salem Alrashedi, Ambassador of UAE to Ethiopia.

The discussion, according to EIC, aimed at fostering stronger investment ties between Ethiopia and UAE.

Both sides deliberate on future institutionalized collaboration plans that include capacity building, investment promotional activities, and investment aftercare service needs.

In the meeting, it was also agreed to attract more UAE investments through different Chambers of UAE.

It is stated that Commissioner Lelise affirmed EIC’s unreserved support to investments in Ethiopia.
