Ethiopia to roll out national horticulture strategy and policy

Addis Ababa, July 2, 2021 (FBC) – In an exclusive interview with Fana Broadcasting Corporate, the Agriculture State Minister Wondale Habtamu announced finalization of preparations to roll out national horticulture strategy and policy.

Wondale said the strategy and policy is tailored to address bottlenecks in the horticulture sector and foster advanced production mechanism and transform the sector to the next level.

The new strategy and policy is instrumental to create more jobs in the agriculture industry, the state minister indicated.

Government has put in place mechanisms to bring proper link between the farmers and the investors and feed the mushrooming agro-processing industrial parks in several parts of the country with quality agricultural inputs.
