Ethiopia to revise water policy, strategy

Addis Ababa, February 24, 2020 (FBC) –Ethiopia is going to revise its water policy and strategy.

The Ministry of Water, Irrigation and Energy is currently holding discussion on the draft policy and strategy.

Dr Seleshi Bekele, Minister of Water, Irrigation and Energy said the revision was needed because the previous policy and strategy became outdated.

The policy, which was drafted in partnership with development partners, is problem solving and took into account the country’s future growth, he added.
