Ethiopia to host African Technology Fair next month

Addis Ababa, August 9, 2022 (FBC) – Ethiopia to host African Technology Fair next month from September 7 to 9, 2022, Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated.

The Public Diplomacy Director General at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Dina Mufti briefed the media on the objectives of significance of the fair.

Solar energy, electric vehicles, digital payment systems, telecommunication, banking and insurance services are among the sectors prioritized by the fair, Ambassador Dina noted.

According to the Director, the fair will help build the image of the country, promote economic growth and enhance economic diplomacy. The Technology Fair would also help promote transfer of technology by providing an opportunity for competent foreign companies with immense experiences.

Foreign companies engaged in cyber security, bio technology, solar energy and communication sectors will showcase their products and services on the fair as more than 45,000 people are expected to visit the event.
