Ethiopia is Set to Celebrate World Tourism Day for a week

Addis Ababa, September 21, 2021 (FBC) – Ethiopia is set to celebrate World Tourism Day nationally in Sidama region on September 27, the date on which the colorful “Maskel festival” falls.

The date is marked with the year’s globally designated theme, “Tourism for Inclusive Growth.”

According to Tourism Ministry, the celebration begins on September 22 to entertain assorted events including visiting Ethiopia’s rich cultural, historical, and natural attractions. Various sport competitions, exhibitions and symposiums are also scheduled events of the festival.

Hawassa city, adorned with its lake, is the center of World Tourism Day 2021 national celebration.
