Ethiopia, the Netherlands discuss cooperation on trade, investment

Addis Ababa, February 7, 2024 (FBC) – Ambassador Mesganu Arga, State Minister of Foreign Affairs, held discussions with Vice-Minister of Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation of the Netherlands, Steven Collet today.

Ambassador Mesganu commended the Dutch government’s assistance in development efforts of the country and reiterated Ethiopia’s readiness to further enhance its cooperation with the Netherlands in the areas of investment and trade and underscored the importance of further exploring new opportunities of cooperation.

Ambassador Mesganu stressed on Ethiopia’s contribution to regional security and stability and the nature of the recently reached agreement with Somaliland.

Steven Collet, said the relations of the two countries is based on the principles of interdependency and cooperation that ensures mutual benefits.
