Ethiopia takes over African group coordination on health matters
Addis Ababa, June 29, 2023 (FBC) – Ethiopia took over the Coordination of the African Group on health matters from the Permanent Mission of Eswatini in Geneva, according to Ethiopian Permanent Mission in Geneva.
During the handover, Tsegab Kebebew, Ambassador Extraordinary & Plenipotentiary, Permanent Representative of Ethiopia to the UN Office at Geneva and other International organizations in Switzerland, thanked Ambassador Vuyile Dumisani Dalmini, Permanent Representative of Eswatini, for the official hand over of the Geneva based African group coordination on health matters.
It is mentioned that both Ambassadors stressed the need to magnify Africa’s interests in global health negotiations.
Ethiopia in its capacity as the new coordinator is committed to carry out its function for one year period, ready for increased collaboration with all stakeholders to advance the interest of the region.
