Ethiopia, Sudan military officers meet to discuss peace in border areas
Addis Ababa, October 10, 2020 (FBC) –Ethiopian and Sudan’s high level military delegations today met in the city of Bahir Dar to discuss ways of ensuring peace along the borders of the two countries.
In his opening remark, deputy head of office of chief administrator of Amhara regional state, Erzik Issa, said the two countries share the same culture and economy, and partially language and religion.
The deputy head expressed his hope that the two sides would conduct a productive discussion that helps to address occasional security problems along borders.
The recent visit of Sudanese investors to different parts of Ethiopia shows how far the two nations are moving forward to toughen their relations through promoting economic integration, he added.
Head of Ethiopian high level military delegation, Brig.-Gen Mulualem Admasu and his Sudan’s counterpart, Maj.-Gen Saleh Abdela Issac vowed to work together to ensure peace along border areas.
