Ethiopia, Sri Lanka discuss potential areas of cooperation in agriculture

Addis Ababa, August 23, 2023 (FBC) – Ethiopian Agriculture Minister, Girma Amente (PhD) received at his office Ambassador of Sri Lanka, Theshantha Kumarasiri.

The Minister and the Ambassador explored ways how to share experiences of the two countries in the agriculture sector.

During the discussion, the two sides particularly focused on four priority areas of cooperation; tea production, fruit development, rubber and tree plantations.

The two have also agreed to work in collaboration in the area of rice production, according to Ministry of Agriculture.
