Ethiopia, Spain ink five year economic cooperation framework agreement
Addis Ababa, February 16, 2023 (FBC) – Ethiopia and Spain have inked a five year economic cooperation framework agreement. The Finance Minister Ahmed Shide and Spainish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares have signed the agreement.
On the signing ceremony, Finance Minister Ahmed Shide said Ethiopia and Spain have been enjoying a longstanding bilateral relationship.
The minister admired Spain’s contribution for increase of global health care service access and inclusive rural development and gender equality.
Ethiopia has been implementing homegrown economic reform to expedite economic development and promote participation of the private sector in the economy and attract new investment, he told the Spanish Foreign Minister.
Jose Manuel Albares, for his part, said the five year agreement is instrumental to cement the bilateral ties between the two countries.
