Ethiopia, South Africa agree to work together with focus on technology and innovation
Addis Ababa, May 10, 2022 (FBC) – Ethiopia and South Africa have reached an agreement to work together with focus on science, technology and innovation sectors.
Biotech, Aerospace and the digital economy fields are prioritized by the cooperation agreement reached by the two countries.
The agreement that will last till 2025 incorporates packages of partnership such as capacity building training, exchange of experts, innovation startups and other cooperation frameworks in the science and technology areas.
Innovation and Technology State Minister, Bayisa Bedada (PhD) and Dan Du Toit, Representative of South African Science and Innovation Ministry signed the agreement on behalf of their respective countries.
It is to be recalled that Ethiopia and South Africa signed an agreement and science and technology in 2014.
