Ethiopia, Singapore agree to cooperate on transport, logistics

Addis Ababa, June 6, 2024 (FBC) – During Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed’s stay at the Istana in Singapore, a Memorandum of Understanding on bilateral consultations and a Statement of Intent between Ethiopia’s Ministry of Transport and Logistics and Singapore’s Ministry of Transport were signed, with both leaders presiding over the ceremony.

Leaders of the two countries have also agreed to cement bilateral cooperation in areas of technology, manufacturing and tourism sectors.

Singapore has named an orchid hybrid in its national park after Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and First Lady Zinash Tayachew to promote friendship with Ethiopia.
