Ethiopia showcases its Flowers at 7th IFTEX2023 trade Expo in Nairobi
Addis Ababa, June 9, 2023 (FBC) – The seventh International Flower Trade Expo (IFTEX 2023) took place at Oshwal Center Nairobi, Kenya.
A delegation led by Nega Mequanint, President of the Ethiopian Horticulture Producers and Exporters Association(EHPEA) along with Tewodros Zewdie, CEO of the Association and many Ethiopian flower growers participated and showcased Ethiopian flowers to the world market.
Ambassador Workalmahu Desta, Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy, and diplomats made a tour of the exhibition.
Ambassador Workalmahu visited the Ethiopian stand and encouraged the Ethiopian team to showcase the Ethiopian flowers.
It is stated that the three-day long Expo that lasted from 6-8 June 2023 gave an excellent opportunity for the association to interact and network among flower growers and international flower buyers.
IFTEX 2023 is the largest edition since its inception in 2012, with over 200 companies from different parts of the world participating in the exhibition.
It has been said that the exhibition already reached the number one position of being the largest cut flower trade fair in Africa.
The Exhibiting companies include growers, exporters, brokers, breeders, propagators, and other suppliers of the flower industry.
