Ethiopia says evacuating nationals from Sudan war zone

Addis Ababa, November 6, 2023 (FBC) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced evacuation of Ethiopians who are unable to leave the war zone in Sudan for various reasons.

On Friday, November 03, 2023, the national task force that is coordinating this evacuation brought four busloads of returnees from Khartoum through Matema, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs disclosed.

The national task force tasked to the evacuation process is providing the necessary support until the returnees reunite with their families, according to the Ministry.

Previously, more than 34,700 citizens have left the war zone and returned to Ethiopia.
