Ethiopia, Republic of Korea seek to deepen partnership in the field of military
Addis Ababa, June 27, 2024 (FBC) – Ethiopia’s Minister of Defense, Ms. Aisha Mohammed, reiterated that the deep-rooted relations between Ethiopia and the Republic of Korea in the realm of military will continue to strengthened.
The minister reaffirmed this commitment during her discussion with Jung Kang, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Ethiopia, Djibouti and Seychelles and Permanent Representative to the African Union.
During the conversation, both the minister and the ambassador underscored the significance of fostering a more cooperative and collaborative relationship between Ethiopia and the Republic of Korea in both military and other issues of mutual interest.
Ms. Aisha Mohammed confirmed that Ethiopia is ready to deepen its partnership with friendly nations through various joint initiatives.
On his part, Ambassador Jung Kang emphasized the connection between the military history of the Republic of Korea and the sacrifices made by Ethiopian soldiers.
He noted that these sacrifices have contributed to the current status of the Republic of Korea and expressed gratitude for their efforts.
The ambassador suggested joint activities, such as sharing experiences and fostering military cooperation, as a means of strengthening the relationship between the two countries.
