Ethiopia, Republic of Korea agree to jointly combat terrorism, cross-border crimes

Addis Ababa, May 31, 2024 (FBC) – National Intelligence and Security institutions of Ethiopia and Republic of Korea have agreed to join hands in combating terrorism and cross-border crimes.

Director General of the Ethiopian National Intelligence and Security Service (NISS), Ambassador Redwan Hussien is on a working visit to Republic of Korea.

During his visit, Ambassador Redwan met his Republic of Korean counterpart, Cho Tae-yong, and discussed with him on bilateral, regional and global issues of mutual concern.

They two sides have also signed MoU to jointly prevent terrorism and cross-border crimes.

According to the press release NISS sent to FBC, the two sides vowed to transform the cooperation between their respective institutions into a strategic level and strengthen cooperation on information exchange so as to combat common security threats.

Ambassador Redwan Hussien has also visited the Memorial Museum built in Republic of Korea in commemoration of Ethiopian veterans.
